'Three acts of offering' is about the act we perform to give gratitude to our loved one.  Inspired by the experience of organizing her mother's funeral, Veronica has created her own personal offering materials, ceremony artifacts, and spiritual spaces in this exhibition.
Act one :  Spirits of dearest possessions
Personal objects that belong to Cheann's mother - her shoes, watch, handbag, clothes, jewelry etc. are being carved in wax. The objects were then melted away slowly during this exhibition, in a thought that the spirits of these dearest possessions can be transferred through the act.The resulting wax will be used for something new.
Act two :  Rice flower garden offering

In Asia, food is often offered to ancestors and various deities; while in the west, flowers are  brought. In this piece, rice is a material being used for personal identity, and flowers made from rice paper. This work is also about vulnerability, fragility and ephemerality. The work shall go back to nature after the act.
Act three :  Through the Lantern Gate
Inspired by fragments of memories in spiritual spaces the artist experienced, like the rolling of prayer wheels, or walls of windmills, a common sight in temples and graveyards; Cheann intended to invite the audience to participate in setting this spiritual gate in motion.
